The loosening of the ligaments creates loosening of the joints which in turn may elicit aches and pains throughout the body, especially the low back and pelvic area. Did you know that 45% of woman will experience pelvic girdle pain during their pregnancy! Prenatal massage requires specialize training.

Our massage therapist are trained to provide safe and effective massage for the mother to be. We also accommodate you if you are on bed rest with specific complications. Please if you are on bed rest always consult with your physicians before scheduling your massage. A note from your physician is recommended.

Contraindications and precautions of pregnancy massage:

  • Vaginal bleeding or abnormal discharge.
  • Fever. No massage should be performed if fever is present.
  • Decrease fetal movement over a 24 hour period.
  • Unexplained abdominal and body aches.
  • Nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea are increased.
  • Excessive swelling in arms or legs.
  • Avoid massage immediately after eating.
  • Pre-ecclempsia.
  • Toxemia.
  • Infections.
  • Blood clots.
